Zebra has a special section with instructions for printing from an AS/400.
Its been 2 years since I read the section, but even I could do it back then.

Subject: Configuring a Zebra barcode printer for TCP/IP

Is it possible to use CRTDEVPRT for Zebra barcode printers, just like an HP
printer? Or does CRTDEVPRT only work for device type 3812? Am I stuck with
using RMTOUTQ's for barcode printers?

I am currently using RMTOUTQ's with Zebra printer and JetDirects on a couple
of printers, and although they work, I would really prefer to have device
descriptions.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
