batch validation list update -- MIDRANGE-L

Is there a batch validation list update process that is documented?
I have found several references to the API, but not any actual process.

I am trying to set up Lawson SEA employee self service and I do not
want to enter 1200 employee userids manually into the http admin page.

Or am I making this harder then I need to? Is there a simple answer?
