Ops Nav has been getting better but here are a couple places where it went
backwards:

In ISQL you can no longer cut/paste the result into a spreadsheet. In V4R5
you could not only cut/paste but select which columns you wanted. Now to do
that you have to use MS Query (or similar product).

Also in ISQL, if you want to save a query definition to the desktop you have
to save it like this: D:\Documents and Settings\phil\Desktop\QRY1.sql.
That's a pain. The idea behind saving it to the desktop was it was easy.

And each time I use it I have to sign in again with that java dialog that
always goes to the upper left corner and inspite of the remember user id and
password check boxes - never does. So I sign on when I start Ops Nav. I
sign on to the 5250 screen. Now I sign on to use ISQL. That's like the
security guard who knows me by name asking to see my id badge after he saw
me use it to unlock the door.

This irks me because there are many new features which make upgrading to
V5R1 worthwhile but what they've done to ISQL is like a stone inside your
shoe.

Phil
