-- WAS requires CPW 460 (advanced edition) 220 (Standard edition) 1GB Main Storage OS V4R4 >>> Buck.Calabro@commsoft.net 01/11/02 03:04PM >>> >If the box is as slow and underpowered as >I just read in another post, it >will NEVER run Websphere. My model 620-2179 (85 CPW, 1gig RAM) will usually (not always!) run WAS. I have had to bump up many of the timeout values, and it still goes down abnormally when the machine gets busy. When it runs, it takes me some 45 seconds to 3 minutes to move from one .jsp to another, and that's AFTER the first touch penalty. IBM strongly recommends a 300CPW machine as the minimum requirement. I think I've posted to the WEB400-L list about this so I'll stop now. --buck _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
