Joel, >How can I look at deleted records in a physical file? Aside from the TAA method, their is a terrific freeware utility written Dave McKenzie called UNDEL. Both the source and CISC and RISC objects are available on the iSeries 400 (formerly News 400) website. This utility uses MI to directly access the deleted record, so it is fast regardless of the size of the PF. This same utility is bundled under the covers with another terrific utility, WRKDBF, written by Bill Reger. I highly recommend you go to www.wrkdbf.com and download a free copy. It is along the same lines as DBU, although the features are not identical. (But then, neither is the price!) Doug
