Ok, I am trying to use the internal modem for a dial out to a customer site but getting the following error when trying to vary the line on: --00002014: Conflict between IOA type and physical interface specified in line description. Dave >>> "Andy Nolen-Parkhouse" <aparkhouse@mediaone.net> 1/4/02 12:28:46 PM >>> Dave, The 2771 card is the one. The telephone line is connected to an internal V.90 56K Asynchronous MODEM. This MODEM could be used for normal asynchronous PPP connections, including customer dial-in. It could not be used for traditional AS/400 synchronous tasks. The card has a feature code of #9771 and a CCIN number (reported in hardware resources) of 2771, so they are the same thing and refer to the entire card and both ports. To set up PPP connections you would use Operations Navigator to configure the connection, referencing a hardware resource of CMN02. Regards, Andy Nolen-Parkhouse > I am on a model 820 running v4r5.
