Patrick, It might be taking longer to do your CLRPFM because of a large increase in the number of Logical Files and/or Views attached to the File/Table you're trying to clear. You may find that you have to do your CLRPFM using a technique that many use with the RGZPFM - whereby they remove all related access paths, reorg the PF (clear in your case), and recreate all the access paths afterwards. It is frequently faster.
