As it turns out, our PC guys were backing up our mail server
(a Cobalt Cube 3 running Linux) to an IFS folder via NFS share.

The entire system.  Every day.  Adding two gigabytes to our
system DASD usage for the past two months.

Suffice it to say, it is no longer happening.
