Keep data in it's own library and the other stuff in "it's" on library. That way you just back up the data... Example: ACDATAP is the Accounting DATA Library - all PF's for AC are compiled here. ACPROGP is the Accounting Program, etc. Library - all program, command and LF objects are compiled here. ACSRCEP is the Accounting Source File library - QRPGSRC, QRPGLESRC, QDDSSRC, QCLSRC, QCMDSRC, etc. are located here. This also entered into the restore procedure since the ACDATAP library would be restored and ready for the ACPROGP library with LF's looking for PF's. I KNOW that has changed with Joins, etc... :-) Just my .02's worth :-) Chuck
