At last COMMON (or was it in NOLA?) I heard Dr. S tell us all that IBM
HQ has mandated that all new technology (in the i/p series camp) will
be introduced on the pSeries first and then after at least 6 month finally
on the iSeries (so not to upset the naming scheme that 'p' is for
performance). I.e. the pSeries will always be ahead of the iSeries
(until IBM changes strategy - it was also Dr. S who said that as soon
as IBM said that something was strategic it was also dead).
