Rob, We use the Line Printer Daemon (LPD) whenever we configure a network printer to print using a remote output queue. The LPD is running on the printer or jet direct card and the Line Printer Requester (LPR) is running on the AS/400. If you wanted some other host to access AS/400-based printers using the same technology, you would run the daemon on the AS/400. Regards, Andy > Andy, what uses LPD? > > Rob Berendt
