See now, how do you know that is an accurate statement? Maybe the AS/400 would do the compression substantially faster? I see that the Intel/m$ propaganda sinks in a little farther then most realize... :p How can you compare oranges to oranges unless you have equal trees to grow them on? I have used both Amd and Intel "screamers" to do the compressions can you say 10 to 14 hours? can you say long running batch job? I have always thought that iSeries were best at running batch jobs, crunching large amounts of data and that we were limited by the IBM interactive tax at online multitasking.
