John, The reason I was interested in the 1130 fix is because I am getting a "cwbc01003 10055" error when I try to open a cae odbc data source on my win98 pc. I posted the other day about this. Turns out it is a socket buffer overflow error. Usually seen with BLOB's. The IBM support site says it is a windows error, but they "may" correct the problem in the future. ( interesting that what IBM calls a windows bug only affects cae odbc on my pc. not the prev ca odbc I had, not the cae ado driver ) I am teaching myself VB and have since moved on to ADO, which works, so I am not impacted much by all this.
