Thanks for the response, Richard. Uh oh...What is "qinter"? I don't find that in the index, and I'm hoping it's a typo. Also, we don't have anything set up as a "console". We are accessing it via Client Access from another PC. I am doing this from the QSECOFR id, which is supposed to have all the access necessary based on the Backup and Recovery manual. Ahhh the learning curve. -----Original Message----- From: Richard Reeve [mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org] Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2001 11:23 AM To: email@example.com Subject: RE: Probably very easy, Newbie question -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Two things come to mind; 1. The system needs to be in a restricted state i.e. qinter should be ended, thereby making it necessary to perform this function from the console. 2. The authority level of the person that is perfoming this may be incorrect. It has been a while for me, but at a minimum I believe that you will need *savsys specified on the special authority field for the user that is perfoming this task. You may also need *allobj authority but I can't swear to that one. --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Check out Yahoo! Shopping and Yahoo!
