IIRC, there is a project for gestures in Mozilla, or at least talk of one.

I thought they were stupid until I started to use them. In one quick sweep
you can go forward or backward, saves 3 seconds off your browsing time every
time you have to look for the back button or right click then find and
choose back, or open a new window, or refresh a page.

It is so cool.

Mozilla and the latest Netscape browser block them as well.  I don't know
about gestures.  All these browsers sure make surfing more enjoyable - I
can choose one that fits my tastes.
