We have a pc application written by a vendor that charges large sums of money to make the simplest change to the system. The system is written in Delphi, runs on W2K, uses ODBC ( Client Access drivers ) to "select" from a logical file on our AS400. We want to change the file name the pc appl uses from "INTRAL24" to "INTRAL31". Same rcdfmt, same keys, just different record selection criteria. ( switching the select criteria in the logicals on the 400 would require a file name chg and recompile in over 50 pgms on the 400. We would rather chg the file name in the pc appl ) Is it possible to "override" the odbc file name at the client access level on the pc, external to the delphi written pc appl ? On the 400 side, are there odbc exit pgms which enable a redirect of the odbc i/o request from 1 file to another ? Thanks, Steve Richter
