IBM provide a set of APIs that allow you to manage NetServer. They are
described in the Server Support section of the API manual.

However, we have just announced ONcmd (TM) which is a command line method of
managing NetServer and other functions. You can add/change/remove/work with
shares, grant permissions, change server attributes, etc. The User Guide
and a 30-day trial copy can be downloaded from http://www.flybynight.com.au
It costs approximately $990 US dollars (you couldn't write it for that
amount!)

ONcmd allows you to manage validation lists, such as those used by the HTTP
server, and by PPP and SLIP connections. You can add/change/remove/work
with entries.

ONcmd also lets you manage TCP servers, HOST servers, HTTP servers
(including the instances and configurations), etc. You can do all this from
a comand line or menu which is how the AS/400 should be managed!

Regards,
Simon Coulter.
