Julio, If you are staying with the as400, here is some unsolicited advice from me. Learn as much Visual Basic and Excel as you can with the emphasis on integrating those tools with the as400. You said you have a windows network at home. If you have $1700 available, look for an as400 on ebay. You can get a basic model 150 with an ethernet feature for about that price. Once you have a 400 on your network, you will have all the hardware you need to hone your pc to as400 integration skills. Good luck, Steve Richter
