Re: Are you risking termination of software support if you install OV /400 over V5R1?

You won't be able to do a STROFC or STRCAL....you can do commands such as
EDTDOC, PRTDOC, MRGDOC, WRKDOC, etc...


Glad you got the install to work.

I absolutely would not recommend that anyone install OV/400 on V5R1 unless
they just wanted to experiment. Certainly not for use with mission critical
applications.

There are many alternatives out there, such as the ones Al mentioned, as
well as converting your existing documents to MS Word, using DTM/400 from
Inventive Designers, converting your docs to HTML and serving them up via
CGI and so on.
