You may want to change the query for deleted records slightly. Including the
record length will give you not those that have the greatest % of deleted
records, but those that waste the most space. Given a file w/a record length
of 10 bytes, 10 million records and 8M of them deleted (80%) a reorg will
only get you back 80Meg. But given a file with a record length of 1000
bytes, 10 million records and 2M of them deleted (20%) a reorg will get you
back 2 Gig. Which would you rather reorg?

BTW, there are repositories of shareware/freeware/ open source all over the
net (pertaining to AS/400 & iSeries). Is there any one site that carries
links to all these? If not, do you (the community) percieve any value in
such a list? I am thinking along these lines. The more of these we can place
in the hands of the AS/400 newbies, the better. There is a wealth of code
all over the net and this can add value to the 400/iSeries.

I have yet to meet a person that has moved from another platform to the
AS/400 (with an open mind and a bit of a brain), that has not become a
convert.
