If any of you have business or financial backgrounds, and would like to be part of the solution, please consider sending in a volunteer application to join the COMMON finance committee... There doesn't need to be a large commitment of time -- we generally spend 2 weekends in Chicago during the budget cycle, and we exchange spreadsheets and monitor expenses/revenues online over the course of the year.
