It would be theoretically possible.  I mean to imply no more, and no less.

Ads in papers, by customers, could lead to news articles.  That's PR.
People have complained about IBM's lack of marketing.  But, AFAIK, PR sells
a lot more computers than marketing ever will.  IANAMP, however (marketing
pro).  IBM has a PR department, but the media will listen to PR organized by
customers, a lot more readily.  That "gimmick" is just a foot in the door..
but it's a start.  Elbow grease would determine if the theory provides any
benefits.

This would be one, of a vast array of theoretically ways, for the iSeries
"ocean" to rise.  Then all iNation citizens would rise with it.

A key stumbling block, for many, is that efforts by iCitizens would end up
"lining the pockets" of IBM shareholders.  That would necessarily be true.
IBM is half of this ocean, I'm referring to.  But IMV the smaller half...;-)
