Kirk:

The problem you are going to have here is not the fact that you want to
run
S36E but the fact that you want to run a V4R5 partition with less than a
full processor. Remember, partial processor LPAR support is a V5R1
enhancement. V4R5 won't support it.

If you want the configuration you are describing you will need a 2-way
box.
I would suggest downloading the LVT to verify your hardware config.

As for your original question on S36E...since each partition effectively
operates as an independent system - if the OS on that partition supports
it
then you should be fine on that end.
