Excellent point.  The pricing model is VERY capitalistic.  The difference is
that we have choices in the market place.  One vendor has a pricing model
based on tiers, another on user.  The market will dictate if the model
works. My comments regarding socialism reflect my attitude more towards
things we have little choice about, taxes.  Try letting the "market" decide
if the tax model is correct or fair and you get a one way trip to the pokey.
People will only pay for something based on their perception of it's value.
That is capitalism at it's best, but to charge more in a monopolist
situation (as in David's example of the drug company w/a patent),that is not
capitalism.  There is NO other market.

Been thinking about this and it brings up a question. Is your concern
primarily about socialism or about tiered pricing? I'm not arguing for nor
against tiered pricing in the iSeries marketplace, but it seems to me to be
a _very_ capitalistic pricing model.
