TAATOOLS has a spool archiving utility and utilities to convert output
queues to and from database files so that they can be saved and restored.
For years I've used Broderick's Spool Organizer to save and restore spooled
output. Broderick has a great archiving, tape and spooled file tracking
database.

No matter what you use you can't really restore a spooled file intact. The
job number is regenerated as a new number as a file is restored.
