What a small world. This question just came up today from someone I work
with.

Don't know about V4R5...but with the V5R1 CAE client, you can remove the
share via Ops Nav.  And the V5R1 client does work fine with OS/400 V4R5, so
there shouldn't be a problem installing it and using it instead of your V4R5
client.
