Hi Mark:
It is a shame. The Premenos/Harbinger/Peregrine product has always been one
of the best, if not the best in the industry. When it was Premenos, the
product AND the support were first class. When Harbinger bought them, the
support when down hill, and now with Peregrine, I wonder if ANYONE has a
clue. The sales staff is unresponsive, and support is a joke. I also feel
their eV5 release is not as strong as the previous releases. The mapper is
a VB based client/server app and is a little flaky sometimes. What type of
comm issues are you trying to get resolved...... maybe I can help you.

Tim,

We use Sterling Commerce for our van and Trusted Link from Harbinger, ah,
Peregrine. Well whatever they are called this week. Sterling Commerce's
services are pretty good. I don't pay the bills, so I don't know about the
rates. Trusted Link. Well, when it's working, it's works great. But, when
there's a problem, I've had some trouble getting it resolved. I have a hard
time finding an iSeries person at their HelpDesk. (get2Connect, another
name). I've had some communications issues with them that they have yet to
resolve.

Good Luck,

Mark

I worked on a project a few years ago where Sterling Commerce was the
service provider. I spoke directly with Sterling on a couple of
occasions and was pleased with their service. I don't remember their
rates, however.
