cleaning cartridges for 7208

Am now looking for cleaning cartridges for our 7208 -222 and -012.
Found the following reference in one of the IBM manuals:

Cleaning Cartridge #21F8593 and #16G8467:  Use this cartridge for
cleaning the 2.3GB, 5.0GB, and 7.0GB 8-mm tape unit heads. #16G8467 is a
mildly
abrasive cleaning tape and should be used whenever tape unit problems
are encountered.

Does anyone out there using the 7208 (non-AME) have both of these
cleaning cartridges?  I presume the normal cleaning tape would be the
21F8593?  How does one determine "whenever tape unit problems are
encountered"?
