It would appear that instead of passing the literal "x'000000035F'", it passed the number 35, instead. As I recall, a CL program can only receive such a value if the receiving variable is defined as TYPE(*DEC) LEN(15 5). Instead of submitting the command, place the command to execute in the RQSDTA parameter of SBMJOB. I believe I've had success with this in the past. Donald R.
