You can using SQL, that is if you have the interactive SQL option. Actually
I would have the command run a CL program that will start the S36 Procedure
to do the Build File. You now have wrapped the build file into a new
command processing program.

Subject: How to create a jeyed file without DDS

Hello all,

In our effort to eliminate our S36 code, I was ask to develop a command to
replace the BLDFILE instruction. This command will do some extra processing
for us. My problem is the following: I have no problem creating a sequential
file without a DDS source member but I do not know how to create a keyed
file without a DDS source member. The CRTPF command does not offer me the
option to specify a key.

Any idea?

Thanks
