How do I setup the PPP with Ops Nav?

They need to FTP files. Doing the FTP commands is not a problem. I can do
that.

First question is the connection via the ECS modems a TCP/IP connection
(using PPP or SLIP) or is it an SNA connection?  What are they currently
using the connection for?  If they are doing a STRPASTHR, then it is an SNA
connection and FTP will not work (unless of course you do *ANYNET).  Are the
machines sitting in the same location?  Do they have ethernet cards in them?

If this is truly a dial up connection, you need to define a PPP line on each
AS400 (using Ops Navigator) and config a dial up PPP connection.  The modems
must be set to use async mode (depending on the modem this can be done via a
software command).  Once you establish the PPP connection, then the FTP part
is very simple.  What type of objects are you going to move between the 2
AS/400s?

Sorry I have more questions than answers.

I have a client that connects their two AS400 with the ECS modem.
They want to use FTP to move data between the two machines.

Does anyone have a step by step instruction sheet for me to use so I can set
that up for them?
I have not done much with connectivity so I need the actual commands to use,
not just an overview  :)
