haven't seen what messages you actually got. I know you can't delete an outq with spools in it. Can't delete an outq with an active writer. You may also get the following msg: (self explanatory-cannot have a device referencing that outq) Message ID . . . . . . : CPF3469 Severity . . . . . . . : 40 Message type . . . . . : Diagnostic Date sent . . . . . . : 10/17/01 Time sent . . . . . . : 21:26:08 Message . . . . : Operation not allowed for output queue. Cause . . . . . : The output queue E1 in library QUSRSYS cannot be deleted, renamed, or moved to a different library because it is used to spool output files for device E1. Recovery . . . : Either remove the command or delete the device description (DLTDEVD command) for device E1 and try the request again. to see your specific msg, do a DSPJOBLOG on command line after failure to delete. The F10 for details and page up once.
