Make sure to register for labs online or as soon as you arrive as seats in some are limited. IIRC you can be registered for three at a time so if you have lots you want to attend be sure to go register for another one as soon as you finish one. Flexibility is always important. I usually try to always have a backup plan incase I get in a session that is cancelled or even worse boring. Feel free to get up and leave and go to something else if the session is not going where you want. This is your conference. BOFs are another great way to get exactly what you are looking for. Info should be on the COMMON website if you're not familiar with them. Tons of fun!
