Thanks for the help.  The error turned out to be an erroneous Insert
statement in SQL.  I had left out two new fields in the table being
inserted.  What threw me off is the record number in the error (line 1).  I
have learned from my experience.  Spent almost a whole day splitting the
procedure into sections and modularizing it.
