That being said: MODE(*TIC) Maybe the developer assigned to do this API thought the print text could be changed since it's on the OVRPRTF command. Then, after setting up the API, found out it couldn't be changed. At that point, instead of correcting the software (because that would require too much work), simply documented that it would not work.
