Hey, Don, you old ... (oh, this is a public message.... Let me rephrase...) Hi, Don! Thanks for your message. :) And thanks to Buck, Phil and the others who also provided helpful information regarding this documentation. I think I'm on my way now to doing what I need, thanks to some great pointers. I'm sorry I didn't state my problem clearly. What I'm trying to do, and believe that I now have the necessary pointers, is to take a series of directories of about 1,000 source (RPG, COBOL, etc) files, and build transfer descriptions to send them all to the AS/400 using (not FTP) file transfer capabilities of View Now. This is admittedly a roundabout way of accomplishing my goal, but other methods of transferring these source members are not available at this client site. I intend to build the .TTO files, then pass them through the ViewNow "import" facility to produce NetManage "upload" descriptions. Then I need to figure out a way to make this all run as a nice little batch thingamajig. Haven't looked into how that might be accomplished yet. No, I'm not bored. :) Dennis Don <dr2@cssas400.com>@midrange.com on 10/09/2001 06:20:27 PM Please respond to midrange-l@midrange.com Sent by: midrange-l-admin@midrange.com To: midrange-l@midrange.com cc: Subject: Re: Finding AS/400 technical documentation Dennis, that stuff was documented in the OLD client access for DOS manuals....
