Coming from an IBM mainframe background recently, the two big organizations are WAVV (World Alliance of VSE and VM users) and also IBM. Each have conferences strategically placed around the country a couple of times a year. I have been to both and they are usually very good. I plan on attending COMMON in MN this fall and assume it will be very comparable. There are also a couple of smaller companies that provide additional education opportunities for the IBM mainframe side as well, that I am aware of. What I'm curious of is, who does the equivalence for the AIX/unix, PC(xSeries) and mainframers.... I'm presuming Share is one of the ones on the Mainframe side, but who else and who covers the X and P series arenas??
