When trying to upload alphanumeric data from Excel2000 to the iBox via CAX,
CAX gives me a data type error. The file description defines the fields
(3-digit ZIP codes and postal codes) as character but CAX gags when it sees
a "numeric" ZIP code (even though it's left-justified and has trailing
blanks).

Changing the Excel data format to ZIP code doesn't work; the rows are
currently defined as TEXT. Yes, I can isolate the postal codes and create a
separate transfer request, but there must be a way around this. Any hints?

Thanks,
rf
