We have a *PAGSEG object that is an eight inch wide by one and one half inch
high gray bar. We conditionally print this page segment when an item on the
picking document meets specific conditions. This is how we shade the
background for that particular line item. Using the keyword *PAGSEG(SHADE80,
&DWNVAL, 0.001) in the external printer file, the gray shading prints as
expected.

In order to fine tune the printing, I wanted to change the size of the
printed page segment without having to create another page segment. I used
*PAGSEG(SHADE80, &DWNVAL, 0.001 (*SIZE 7.000 0.500)) , trying to make the
gray bar not as wide. The page segment did not print.

To see how the *SIZE parameter worked, I then tried making the page segment
print larger (can one do this?) by changing the values following *SIZE.
Again, the page segment did not print.

I've checked the softcopy books and the archives, and have not found the
reason why this doesn't work.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Phil
