The easiest way to do this is to create a CL program that does nothing but execute the following command: RTVMBRD FILE(&LIBPARM/&FILEPARM) MBR(&MBRPARM &REFPARM) RTNMBR(&MBRNAME) This program can then be executed from the HLL program of your choice to move up or down the list of members in the file using "*NEXT" and "*PRV" in the &REFPARM field. RTVMBRD returns other values too, of course, like record count, number of deleted records, and so on. Just prompt the command and read the help text. Hope that helps. Donald R.
