R: SQL Question

Good morning. As far as i know the only way to simulate a partial retrieval
(first nn rows) is (at least up to V4R5) to write a UFD function that simply
adds 1 to a counter.
Your SQL will look like "Select  counter, YrField from YrTable Where Counter
< 10" Counter is an UserDefinedFunction.  You may take a look at
www.as400network.com, there sould be an article by P.Conte or M.Kravitz.
