Something like the following could work, but depending on the size of the
file you're working with, could be really s-l-o-w.

select * from
  (select ...field_list.....
     from filex
     where ......
     order by ......) a
where rrn(a)<=10

wondering if there is a way to do the same with SQL from the AS/400.
Running V4R5M0 & one cum back.

"Select Top 10 QQTEST.THID From QQTEST" with a Where & Order By clause.
