Err... its more or less the same as DLTPGM BIN/LADEN in OS/400... except that the /bin directory is a standard directory on unix... it's where all the executables that are part of the OS are... (like QSYS would be, if it had nothing but *pgm objects) adding -rf means to remove all of the subordinate files/directories, without asking for confirmation or checking the permissions.
