There have been internal changes to the structures in DB since V4R2, exit
programs run as part of the installs, but... what I would check....

If you are talking about accessing data from 5.1 on a 4.2 system, there are
PTFs that are required on the 4.2 box and are listed in the memo to users
for 5.1
