>From IBM's Knowledge Base http://www.as400service.ibm.com/ and doc title
'Support for ASCII Printers from Hewlett Packard (HP)' ,
the HP LaserJet 2100 Series uses PCL6, and recommended MFRTYPMDL is *HP5SI
the HP Business Inkjet 2200 Series uses PCL5c and recommended MFRTYPMDL is
*HP1600C
HP did not build them the same.
Anyone out there supporting ASCII printers should check these docs. There is
one for most manufacturers, or see the doc
'Support for Various ASCII Printers'. Saves a lot of head-banging.

our AS400 using the following setup parameters...

The problem that I have is that I have recently configured a HP2200 network
laser printer using the same configuration and I am having problems with how
the pages are being printed. The output is onto a pre printed form which
should start printing on about the 4th line of the page but no matter what
settings I change the output is being printed onto the 1st line of the page
even if the print program is changed. When I hang the printer off of a pc
and create a session in client access for the printer and then print to it
the output is correct. Is there something that I am missing here about IP
printer setep. We are on V4R5...

Tia
