Nope...batch...I know using interactive compiling works. It is just the
batch that don't. The messages appear in the message file. How do you view
what the current settings are for the message queue? I am trying to compare
my settings across the two systems, but WRKMSGQ shows *SAME for most of the
settings (which doesn't help me locate any differences)

Perhaps this is an interactive compile?  WRKMBRPDM and F18.  See if it's
interactive or batch.  Batch completion messages are not displayed on line
24, but are a separate display (program message).
