Make sure you get the exact message id that they are getting. Several people on this list have misunderstood various threshold messages. Once you get the message id then you can do the DSPMSGD to get the description. I think we've had this threshold message battle just in the last week or two. I looked in the archives and it tells me that merely duping it to QUSRSYS is all I need to do. That is fine, I can do that. However, what it doesn't tell me in the archives is why do I need to do this and with the push from IBM to use SQL, why have they not placed the template there themselves instead of the customer having to do it themselves. The reason that this just came up: we just shipped for BETA testing, a rewrite of a system and that system uses RPGIV ILE and SQLRPGLE extensively. One particular client is having a problem running one of the programs and eventually gets error messages that the threshold on storage has been exceeded. Their disk space is at 41%, they are on a 820, and they are on V4R5. So we are chasing error messages. And since this is the first message to come up, I thought I should deal with it first.
