I am sorry to hear that David.

I have the opposite view. What has happened is terrible, unthinkable and
very real. This list is a forum used by people with a common profession and
different lives.
Just as the normal discussions lead to better understanding  of technical
issues and the frowned upon non tech talks illuminate other aspects of our
profession, discussing the who, what , where and why of this tragedy could
be useful also.

Frankly, I dont have much interest in technical issues right now.
