You're right, this really is pretty simple. If you want an example you could download the TNAPI (telnet API) utility. It's freeware and includes the source. It establishes a telnet session with the AS/400 for running interactive programs in batch. It can be downloaded from the Telnet/400 web page (www.telnet400.com) <http://www.telnet400.com)> .
