Strange error, are you maintaining a large number of IFS files? Perhaps a large number of small files, similar to what you would get if some of your users backed up their personal computer drives to a share on the 400. Happened to me, wasn't why I gave them access. I agree that deleting objects is the only short-term solution and an IPL is the only long-term solution. How long since your last IPL?
